Worship is to honor with extravagant love and extreme submission (Webster's Dictionary, 1828)
Worship is more than a style of music. It is a lifestyle of holiness that is defined by the priority we place on who God is in our lives and where God is on our list of priorities. True worship is a matter of the heart expressed through a lifestyle of exaggerated love for God and extreme submission to God.
Worship is one of the highest priorities of NAME Outreach. We desire Spirit-enabled worship in a style that is intimate, yet dynamic, relevant and more than anything life changing.
We love God and we are passionate to show it in our worship. We are excited about are relationship with Him and believe our Lord is worthy of all the worship we can give.
Although music plays a major role in our services, worship is more than just music and dance, it is prayer, proclamations, even silence; it is standing, kneeling, laying, and sitting before the Lord; it is also labor for and service to others, it is the receiving of His Word. The objective is to come near him and allow Him to rule over our lives. Therefore, we practice spontaneity as we blend structured songs and improvised expressions as we allow the Spirit to birth "new songs" (Psalms 149:1) and release revelatory Word.
